Dr. Kim Steele

Dr. Kim Steele

Dr. Steele grew up on a farm in Langley, starting her early riding days in Pony Club and then moving on to Eventing. She soon realized that horses would become lifelong passion both in and out of the tack, shaping her decision to go to vet school. She started working for Dr. Wise while attending high school and continued through her pre and veterinary years. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. After graduation, Dr. Steele worked in an equine referral hospital in Edmonton AB for three years. There she gained valuable experience with a variety of disciplines and had the opportunity to work with two board certified surgeons developing her knowledge in lameness and more complex medical cases. She also had the opportunity to handle the stallion division of their reproductive services. Dr. Steele has a particular interest in dentistry, lameness and reproductive procedures. She was happy to return to the Fraser Valley in 2015, bringing her closer to family and returning to riding in the area. She enjoys getting involved in community programs and is currently on the board of directors for the Richmond Therapeutic Riding Association.
