Wise Equine Veterinary Services was founded in 1995 by Dr. Raymond Wise with a simple goal: to provide exceptional veterinary care while building lasting relationships with horses and their owners.
Over the years, the practice has grown into a trusted source for equine veterinary care throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Today, our team combines decades of experience with a modern, progressive approach to equine medicine.
Based in Aldergrove, BC, Wise Equine provides comprehensive ambulatory veterinary services alongside in-clinic treatment facilities for haul-in procedures, reproductive services, and advanced regenerative therapies.

Our team brings together diverse backgrounds, specialties, and experiences in equine medicine. What connects us is a passion for horses and a commitment to providing knowledgeable, compassionate care.
Dr. Kim Steele
Veterinarian
Dr. Kim Steele has been passionate about horses from an early age and graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. With experience in equine referral medicine, she has particular interests in dentistry, lameness, and reproductive procedures.
Dr. Amanda Gilliland
Veterinarian
Dr. Amanda Gilliland grew up in Langley and developed her passion for animals through years of 4-H and farm life. After joining Wise Equine as a veterinary assistant, she went on to earn her veterinary degree and later returned to the practice. Her interests include reproduction, dentistry, and ambulatory medicine.

Dr. Claire Galvin

Dr. Claire Galvin is interested in equine dentistry, geriatric care, and day-to-day preventative care and wellness. Her commitment to providing the highest standard of care is demonstrated in her detailed approach to equine medicine.
Dr. Claire’s gentle demeanour and quiet nature allows horses to relax during their treatments. Her approach provides a positive experience for both the horse and handler and she enjoys the long-term relationships she has developed with patients and their owners.
